Clarisa earned her Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice with a pre-law focus from St. Edward’s University. While in college, she served as president of the campus chapter of Lambda Alpha Epsilon, a national criminal justice fraternity. In that role, she strengthened her leadership skills and helped fellow students connect with professionals across the criminal justice field, including public defenders, correctional officers, juvenile justice staff, law enforcement personnel, and elected officials involved in justice-related policy. She also conducted independent research alongside her mentor, contributing to a study examining how jurors interpret the “heinousness” of capital crimes and how subjective perceptions impact death penalty sentencing.

Before joining Doyle & Seelbach, she spent two years working as a legal assistant at a civil litigation firm, where she assisted with matters involving real estate, business disputes, property ownership, landlord-tenant issues, foreclosures, and construction-related conflicts.

Originally from Houston, Clarisa has lived in the Austin area for the past three years. Outside of work, she enjoys playing pickleball, exploring Texas state parks, and taking long walks with her dog. She also enjoys visiting art exhibitions and watching thriller films. Clarisa has intermediate proficiency in Spanish and American Sign Language.
