Gustavo began his college career in 2019 at the University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley where his interest in law first unfolded. After his first year, he transferred to the University of Texas at Austin and obtained his Bachelor’s in Government with a minor in Philosophy. During college, he was named in the President’s list and recognized as a Hispanic Scholar. He started his legal career as an intern at a Criminal Defense Law Office in his hometown of Brownsville, Texas. His growing interest in law influenced his move to Austin, Texas where he first became a legal assistant and later a paralegal. Gustavo has also interned at the Texas Capitol and assisted the lower sector of Dallas, Texas in many fields.

Gustavo was born in Troy, Ohio and raised in Brownsville, Texas. He now lives in Austin, Texas where he enjoys running at Zilker Park and discovering different coffee shops. He likes reading books during his free time and thrifting during the weekends. He also enjoys traveling and learning new hobbies such as golf, hiking, and photography. Gustavo loves spending time with his family, friends, and his puppy Jax.
