Chris Aubrey joined Doyle & Seelbach as an Associate Attorney in 2026. Before joining the firm, Chris built a varied practice spanning civil defense, felony prosecution, legal-aid litigation, nonprofit advocacy, and legal policy. That range shapes her practical approach to representing businesses, insurers, and individuals in civil disputes. Chris thrives on untangling complicated facts, identifying the issues that matter most, and giving clients a clear strategy for moving forward.

  • Representation of businesses, insurers, and individuals in personal-injury, premises-liability, product-liability, construction, commercial, and other civil disputes.

  • Prosecution of felony matters through evidentiary hearings, contested proceedings, and trial.

Extended Bio

Before joining Doyle & Seelbach, Chris practiced civil defense and commercial litigation with a Texas defense firm. She also served as an Assistant District Attorney in Travis County, where she managed complex felony matters, examined witnesses, litigated evidentiary issues, and worked closely with law enforcement personnel and experts. Earlier in her career, Chris spent six years representing legal-aid clients in contested civil matters through trial and final judgment.

Chris also feeds her professional curiosity by exploring the landscape of cross-border disputes, investigations, litigation technology, and organizational and consumer risk.

Outside the office, Chris is a classically trained double bassist, a voracious reader who returns often to Black literary voices such as Zora Neale Hurston, Toni Morrison, and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, and a true fanatic about women’s sports across every league and level.
